Dr. A. Luetz is an anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in Intensive Care Medicine. He currently works as a critical care consultant at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. In 2017, he qualified as a Privatdozent at the Charité. His clinical research focuses on interventional studies regarding the management of analgesia, delirium and sedation in critically ill patients. Since 2013, he is working on an award winning project (funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economy), investigating new, interactive room concepts for a more patient-centered, healing ICU environment. Dr. A. Luetz and his colleagues developed a simulation training to bring evidence-based delirium management to the patients bedside. He is a member of the ESICM Working Group on Postoperative Delirium and Cognitive Dysfunction and a founding member of the German Delirium Network. His research is supported by the Charité and the Berlin Institute of Health.
